Usher in Summer with Westchester Yoga Arts “Solstice on the Green”

To benefit the creation of a yoga program at the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle

Registration begins at 2:30 at the Library Green entrance on the corner of Lawton and Huguenot. Yoga instruction continues from 3:30 to 5:00. Sponsor village is open from 2:30 to 6. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door.

Westchester Yoga Arts, in conjunction with New Rochelle BID and New Rochelle Department of Parks and Recreation, will usher in summer and honor the International Day of Yoga (June 21) with a special yoga event at Ruby Dee Park at Library Green (New Rochelle, 1 Library Green, between Huguenot & Lawton), on Saturday, June 25th. Hundreds of participants will gather for this solstice celebration and to practice for a good cause.

All proceeds from the event will go to the benefit the yoga program at the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle.

Westchester Yoga Arts owner Wendy Vigroux says, “This solstice celebration is our way to both come together as a community and to give back to the community.”

Yogis of all levels and ages will have a chance to grab their mat or towel and participate in a special class taught by Vigroux and the studio’s experienced instructors. They will also have the opportunity to visit our sponsor village with free giveaways and opportunities to win a membership to WYA, as well as other wonderful prizes, in the drawing that will take place afterward. Among our many sponsors are the City of New Rochelle and Athleta.

Many downtown restaurants, including Posto 22, the Gnarly Vine and Coromandel are also offering special Solstice discounts to participants immediately after the event.
