We Are More Than
“Clean Streets”

One of the New Rochelle BID’s most popular initiatives—the BID Clean Streets Program—has become not only a crucial program to keep the retail district clean and attractive for residents and shoppers, but so much more.

The program, jointly sponsored by the BID and the City of New Rochelle, maintains a full time uniformed crew of five employees, a working supervisor, and a deputy supervisor who pick up litter downtown seven days a week helping to keep sidewalks, public spaces, and parking areas clean of debris. The BID crew also undertakes light landscaping responsibilities such as weeding in the summer and, in the fall, leaf removal. During the warm weather months, several weekday mornings are dedicated to power washing downtown sidewalks and the stairwells at the Church-Division parking facility. They also keep crosswalks, storm drains and fire hydrants free of snow in the winter. MORE »

Michelle Sullivan, a Larchmont resident is a big fan of Retro Fitness New Rochelle. As a busy mother of three children, ages one through five, she needs a fitness club that can accommodate her very hectic schedule. She has been a Larchmont resident for 18 years, originally hailing from Bronx, N.Y. She is an active member of the PTA, and enjoys raising awareness for a variety of worthy causes such as Autism, ADHD and Breast Cancer

Like most people I know, to stay fit and healthy I need to work out regularly. However, in order to get me into the gym on a regular basis, I need a health club that meets my standards for equipment, convenience, cleanliness, staffing, an inviting setting, and the two most important qualities, affordable prices and hours that accommodate the hectic schedule of an active mom with three children.
