9th Annual “Ring in the New Year at Noon” at New Roc City: Raises $3,500 for the New Rochelle Public Library Foundation
For the 9th year in a row, New Roc City hosted a festive party for kids to celebrate the new year. “Ring in the New Year at Noon” has become an annual tradition at New Roc City for kids ages 2 – 10. Held in the atrium at 33 Le Count Place in New Rochelle, more than 3,000 balloons were dropped from above to the delight of the 1,500 kids and parents who attended from across Westchester and the surrounding area.

Westchester’s Only Daytime New Year’s event for Kids, Raises Thousands for Westchester Children’s Museum
For the 7th year in a row New Roc City hosted a spectacular family event on New Year’s Eve day for Westchester parents and kids. More than 1500 enthusiastic kids and parents were on hand to witness the exciting noon-time drop of 3000 colorful and festive balloons which descended from nets attached to the railings of the atrium.

New Roc City Rings in the New Year at Noon
Over 1,200 revelers gathered in the atrium of New Roc City for the 6th Annual Ring in the New Year at Noon on Thursday, December 31st for a Times Square-simulated atmosphere complete with fun-filled family activities and an indoor balloon release at the stroke of noon. This year the end-of-the-year celebration also raised funds for Westchester Children's Museum.

NRCA “Arts Encounter” Revelations Celebration
There’ll be dancing in the streets – or at least on Library Green – this Saturday, June 6th as the New Rochelle Council on the Arts presents a very special “Arts Encounter”, a free one-hour “Revelations Celebration” dance class featuring former Alvin Ailey principle dancer Donna Wood Sanders teaching excerpts from Alvin Ailey’s masterpiece “Revelations.” The pop-up dance class is part of NRCA’s year-long series of “Arts Encounters,” created to celebrate the group’s 40th anniversary by bringing the arts to people as they go about their every day routines. “The idea is to remind everybody how the arts enrich our daily lives with a series of unexpected pop up performances in public spaces all around New Rochelle,” explains NRCA President Theresa Kump Leghorn. Master Developer Announced
The City of New Rochelle announced today the selection of RDRXR as master developer for the largest and most significant economic development initiative in the city’s history. In its new capacity, RDRXR will work with the city and its residents to finalize the creation of a consensus-driven, mixed-use, transit-oriented proposal based on a preliminary blueprint outlined by RDRXR that spans multiple sites and would dramatically re-shape New Rochelle’s downtown, while also spurring economic growth and job creation for the entire region.
