Meet and pick up a few tips from several well-known children's book authors!

Saturday, April 12, 2008. 12:30-2:00 PM, Free, at the New Rochelle Public Library.

This special 'BID Family Saturday' event will help New Rochelle celebrate National Library Week in a big way. Authors James Howe, J.C. and Dan Greenberg, Nick Bruel Amelia Lau Carling and others will reveal their secrets of writing and illustrating great books. Ask these special authors how they do it! They'll be taking questions from the audience. Refreshments from storybooks and book signing will follow

Hunt for Treasure in your own Downtown!

Saturday, April 26, 2008. 12:30-3:00 PM. Free, at the New Rochelle Public Library.

Calling all treasure hunters! Gather at the New Rochelle Public Library to get your clues. Then, set off on a fun-filled quest: search for historical gems and treasures in New Rochelle's downtown. Clues will be available in the Local History Room between 12:30 and 3:00 PM. Happy hunting!
