Mayor Noam Bramson stated: "Outdoor seating makes the already great experience of dining in New Rochelle even more pleasurable, while enhancing the energy and vitality of our street life. This program, a joint effort of the BID and many restaurateurs, is one more reason to come see and enjoy the positive changes in our downtown."

Som Nagpal, owner of the Zagat rated Rangoli Indian Cuisine, noted “During the BID’s successful Stimulus Sawbucks Program, the community recognized that downtown New Rochelle now offers a vast array of quality, attractive and affordable restaurants and cafes. With tree lined streets and extensive public plantings, we realized that we could offer the public an appealing cosmopolitan amenity, sidewalk café dining.”

Gary Torigian and Steve Morris, owners of Spectators’ Sports Pub reported “We are seeing a resurgence of restaurant activity downtown. As an expression of our confidence in the future of New Rochelle we have made a substantial investment in a new facade and are happy to participate in the BID’s Dine Downtown ‘al fresco’ dining program.”
