Submit Your Photos of Downtown

The New Rochelle Downtown BID would like to see New Rochelle the way you see it.
Are you an amateur shutterbug? Professional photographer? Maybe you caught a great shot on your phone.
We want your pictures of what is happening in downtown New Rochelle!

The New Rochelle BID is collecting creative photos taken downtown for display on the BID website and Facebook page.     Architecture, people, and events -- perhaps the way the sun hits a building.   Nearly any photo taken within the BID district will qualify. The BID District is the historic downtown commercial area extending ALONG the Huguenot and Main Street corridors from Echo to the Monument at Pintard.

Photo Submission Terms and Conditions

New Rochelle Downtown BID invites interested parties to submit digital photographs for possible use on and the New Rochelle BID Facebook page. The BID retains full editorial control over the selection of any particular photograph for publication.

1. Technical Specifications
The BID will consider no photographs it identifies as obscene, provocative or otherwise containing objectionable content.

* Must contain appropriate subject matter. (We’re looking for a positive, creative perspective.)
* Be submitted as a high-resolution jpeg, no larger than 1 MB,  minimum size 768 x 1024 pixels.
* May be watermarked. However, the watermark should not interfere with the image.
Multiple submissions are allowed and encouraged.

2. Rights Granted
By submitting a photograph for consideration, you warrant and represent that the photograph you submit (the "Photograph") is your own original work and that you alone own copyright to the Photograph, that it is an authentic and accurate depiction of the subject matter presented, that no other party has any right, title, claim or interest in the Photograph, and that you have obtained all third-party releases and permissions necessary for our use. If the BID receives a complaint that substantially questions the reliability of any of the above warranties, we reserve the right to remove or delete the Photograph.

Each person who is recognizable in the Photograph must be over the age of 18, or have reached the age of majority in his or her state, unless the Photograph depicting a minor is photographed by the minor’s parent or legal guardian.

You retain your rights to the Photograph. However, by submitting to the BID, entrants grant the BID a royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive license to display, distribute, reproduce and create derivative works of the entry in any media now existing or subsequently developed, for any educational, promotional, publicity, exhibition, archival, scholarly and all other standard BID purposes. Any photograph reproduced will include a photographer credit as feasible.
