| “BID Downtown Showcase” features 5 designers
This Fall the New Rochelle BID will present a “Downtown Showcase” featuring five New Rochelle interior designers and products from more than fifty downtown businesses. The designers will decorate and furnish two apartments at Avalon on the Sound East using exclusively furnishings and merchandise from downtown businesses. The showcase opens to the public on October 25th when the apartments are featured in the 12th Annual Accent on New Rochelle House Tour to benefit the Solomon Katz Breast Center at Sound Shore Medical Center. New Rochelle Mayor Noam Bramson stated: "The Downtown Showcase will promote new opportunities for both shoppers and business-owners. The City is pleased to partner with the BID on this innovative program to strengthen our local economy."

| September: Perfect for Openings, Sales and Alfresco Dining  September is a great month to come downtown.
"Urban Magic" a new art show featuring the work of New Rochelle artists Ace Lemelle-Thomas, Joy Malone and Jesse Sanchez will open on Saturday, September 12th at BID Gallery 542 with a public reception from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Find bargains galore at the "BID Fall Sidewalk Sale" , Wednesday September 23rd through Saturday, September 26th. And while shopping have your photo taken with President Obama.
The weather is still nice so come Dine Downtown al fresco at friendly, outdoor café restaurant. Parking is free downtown after 6pm.

Posto 22 Anne and Arnie Sternheim have lived in the Queen City for 23 years, raising two sons and taking advantage of the excellent schools and sports programs. The city’s proximity to New York made New Rochelle ideal for Anne, a freelance copywriter, and Arnie, a financial risk manager. The Sternheim’s recently dined at Posto 22 on Division Street which been beautifully transformed thanks to the New Rochelle BID’s Facade Program.
One recent August evening, we decided to make a reservation at Posto 22 in downtown New Rochelle. As big fans of Italian food, we were very excited to try this recent addition to the city’s ever burgeoning dining scene.
Upon arriving, we immediately knew we were in for a great time…
