Professor Eric Jennings dares to pique your interest in and passion for opera! Don’t understand the words? Why do they sing so high? Why are the plots so difficult to follow? What’s the big deal about opera? You’ll learn about the lure of tragedy, the star power of opera singers, and the greatest works of literature ever written, which inspired this art form. You’ll learn operatic vocabulary while listening to great music; live performances as well as historic and the latest recordings.
