Professor Eric Jennings, Music Director at St, John’s Wilmot Church, will lead four 2-hour classes in exploring classical music, with live and recorded accompaniment. The course includes enlightening discussions of Music of the Baroque Era (1600-1750), the Classic Era (1750-1815; the Romantic Era (1815-1900), and the Post Romantic, Modern Era. The end result? A deeper understanding of what came before and how it has influenced music today. As Verdi once said, "It's by studying what has preceded us that we gain the freedom to live in the moment".
