Music & Art in Downtown

BIDMusicGrnLogo_053010.jpgOn Thursday evenings this July enjoy our annual FREE BID Music on the Green festival, made possible by Avalon on the Sound, as great bands (Brother Joscephus and the Love Revival Revolution Orchestra, 7/15; Music and Dance from the Andes with Andinay, 7/22; and Caribbean Cool with the Pantonic Steel Orchestra 7/29) fill summer evenings with fun and pulsating sounds. Bring your picnic and lawn chairs, or better yet, enjoy the music and continue to party at a nearby restaurant.  More »

Summer is FREE
Family Film time

Every year we look forward to a special family evening at the BID Family Outdoor Movie shown under the stars on a two story high outdoor screen at Library Green, FREE thanks to Monroe College. This year enjoy Ratatouille at 8:45 PM on Thursday evening, August 5th.

Also this year Regal Cinema at New Roc City is hosting a weekly Family Film Festival, with FREE movies every Tuesday and Wednesday morning at 10:00 AM. All are G and PG rated films so bring the kids and don’t forget the popcorn.

And definitely bring the family to Ossie Davis Theater at the New Rochelle Downtown Public Library for three weekly FREE films series for family members of all ages: “Film from Picture Books”, Make a Splash” and “Disney Summer Hit Parade.” Check it out and don’t forget to combine it with dinner or lunch at one of downtown’s great neighborhood restaurants to complete your family outing.   More »

They are clearly not alone in making this a favorite, since Rangoli has maintained an excellent rating by Zagat.com for almost a decade and for six years has been named "Best Indian Restaurant in Westchester County" offering "fabulous warm service and flat out good fare."

“As we entered Rangoli, we were impressed ... More »
