July 30, 2016

Hi all, I am curating a show with the BID. The art must be received next week, Wednesday, August 3, 3-7pm. I know it is short notice. I am looking for art that expresses your feelings about the forthcoming redevelopment. Images in any medium are acceptable. Work submitted need not be representational of New Rochelle but must relate to the theme in some manner.

Art must be dropped off presentation ready, wired if 2D, firm base if 3D. No size limit, installations are welcome, as well as text based work and freestanding work. We request up to three pieces, however, we reserve the right to choose from your entries based on their relevance and overall competence. Judging will take place on site so be prepared if one or more of your pieces has to be taken home with you.

Jurors include myself, David Krinick of Mesh Print Studio in New Rochelle and artist and educator Alexi Rutsch Brock.

The show will run for the month of August and the site is a luxury building at 5 Anderson St. in New Rochelle, newly remodeled, great walls, pristine and modern. Street signs will be posted around the building on Wednesday to guide you to the space. There is a street level entrance and elevator. Photos of the space are attached. I hope to see you at the drop off, Wednesday, August 3, 3 to 7pm.

Thanks. For questions contact Jesse Sanchez at 914-409-7300 or or Ralph DiBart at 914-960-1460 or
