August 1, 2006

News_SSVrtualIncbtr.jpgSeveral downtown businesses will participate in a two-year pilot program as the city’s first “Virtual Business Incubator,” sponsored by the BID and Monroe College. Individualized Business Plans will be created by each business in conjunction with Monroe faculty and students in the SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) program. The program will then provide the necessary training, technical support, software applications, accounting, marketing and retail management to execute these business plans. Once the first group of business plans is being implemented, new businesses will be invited to join.
