The rolling thunder of drums, up-beat music of brass bands and saucy steps of strutting drum majors made for a surge of excitement on Saturday, November 18th. Sunshine and warm weather encouraged throngs to watch and cheer the annual Thanksgiving parade. The parade was filled with floats (designed and built by volunteers), marching bands, fire trucks, cars with VIPs and lots of marchers with Santa arriving as the ending climax.
The parade, which starts near the high school, proceeds down North Avenue, to Downtown onto Anderson Street to the plaza at New Roc Center, provides the only annual opportunity for all of New Rochelle to gather and celebrate our great community.
