New Rochelle officials have narrowed to five the number of developers they will consider for redeveloping the city’s Echo Bay waterfront and about 20 acres of surrounding land.
The Queen City on the Sound is crafting a redevelopment plan for the area, which consists of properties either owned by New Rochelle or in contract to be sold to the city. Once that is completed, the city will issue a formal request for proposals (RFP) to the five developers, which were among 20 to complete a request for qualifications last fall.
City Council members will then hear presentations of the proposals, then decide which one they prefer...”
