Alvin & Friends will be selling its
Pulled Pork Sliders at the Grand Market
opening in New Rochelle on Saturday, June 1st.

“We are excited to be part of the Grand Market,” says Alvin Clayton, “ and to be offering the public a chance to purchase our Spice Mix and Hot Sauce. We’ve had many requests for the recipes, and we think people will love adding a little heat to their home cooking.”

The Grand Market is making its debut on Saturday. The independently-operated farmer’s market, developed by the Downtown Business Improvement District (BID), will offer everything from locally-grown (conventional and organic) produce, to New York State cheeses, heritage meats, farm fresh eggs, and sustainably fished seafood. Shoppers will find artisanal breads and cakes, as well as New York State wine, cured meats, charcuterie, prepared foods, and locally-brewed beer as well.
Along with food, the Grand Market plans to offer entertainment, food carts, and prepared foods that shoppers can enjoy while relaxing at al fresco dining tables plus childrens’ activities and hard-to-find services like professional knife sharpening.

Alvin & Friends – Zagat rated 26 for food, 26 for décor and 26 for service, and named by Westchester Magazine as one of  the “Best New Restaurants” in 2011 – opened in its new location in April and has already made a splash: The restaurant was recently featured on a segment of WABC channel 7 News “Neighborhood Eats” with Lauren Glassberg, and was selected by the Journal News as one of Westchester County’s “Ten Hottest Restaurants”.   Located across Memorial Highway from the New Rochelle Public Library, Alvin & Friends offers plenty of parking in the municipal lot adjacent to the library as well as the covered parking next to the Avalon apartments.

Alvin & Friends is open Tuesdays through Sundays for Lunch from 11:30 am to 3 pm (Brunch on Sundays)  and Dinner from 5 to 11 pm.
